Our origins: engineering and AI to protect what matters most
Lobera was born in Madrid and Salamanca in 2025, founded by a team of engineers with experience in artificial intelligence, data, telecommunications, and defense. Its founders had spent years working on critical projects for public institutions and strategic sectors, where they saw firsthand how digitization was transforming the way we work, communicate, and manage vital infrastructure.
This transformation opened up a horizon of opportunities for efficiency and innovation, but it also exposed a new reality: systemic, permanent, and often invisible vulnerabilities capable of jeopardizing the very foundations of our societies.
As the world became more interdependent, it became clear that traditional security models were insufficient. Lobera emerged to fill that gap. Our raison d’être is to design and operate a digital shield capable of anticipating risks, responding quickly, and ensuring continuity in areas where failure is not an option: from data centers to energy and industrial environments. We are engineers and we believe that digital defense should not be based solely on tools, but on knowledge, method, and solutions that work in the real world.
The name “Lobera” pays homage to the sword of King Ferdinand III, a symbol of sovereignty and unity, and to his legacy as patron of the Corps of Engineers in Spain. For us, it represents a bridge between tradition and the future: from the steel that defended territories to the intelligence that protects infrastructure today.
